Global Labor: EMEA Struggles

Workers across various sectors and countries are engaging in strikes and protests due to deteriorating economic conditions and disputes over pay and working conditions. In London, transport workers initiated strikes affecting the transport network due to disagreements over pay and conditions. Simultaneously, in Iran, oil workers at the Gachsaran Oil and Gas company and Offshore Oil Company joined escalating protests over collapsing living conditions, triggering sanctions from the UK, France, and Germany. Adding to the global unrest, lecturers at a university in Ondo State, Nigeria, commenced an indefinite strike to protest unpaid salary arrears and insufficient funding for their institution. These events collectively highlight a growing wave of labor unrest driven by economic hardship and unresolved labor disputes across different geographical locations and industries.
