Now here’s where it gets even crazier — and I know some folks are gonna lose it over this.
I actually think it’s possible for a leftist to be a landlord.
Yeah, I said it.
Like, look — if someone owns a small property, maybe they’ve got a spare room, and they decide to rent it out just to make a little extra cash? Technically, yeah, they’re a landlord. But they’re not some giant real estate mogul hoarding ten apartment complexes. They’re just a regular working-class person trying to get by.
That person probably still has leftist values. They still believe in fair housing, equality, compassion, and all that. They’re just making the best of the system they’re stuck in.
And honestly, in that case, who’s really getting hurt? They’re not exploiting hundreds of tenants. They’re not jacking up rents to squeeze profits out of desperate people. They’re just renting out one room, one basement, one unit — something small.
We act like “landlord” is automatically a slur, but it doesn’t have to be. There’s a huge difference between a working-class homeowner renting out part of their house and a billionaire developer buying up entire neighborhoods. One is surviving within the system. The other is the system.

Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you. https://accounts.binance.info/en/register-person?ref=JHQQKNKN
