Echoes of ‘No Kings’

Authorities are investigating the distribution of antisemitic flyers in Los Angeles neighborhoods, specifically Beverly Hills and Westwood, over the weekend. These flyers, placed in plastic bags with pebbles to weigh them down, contained hateful rhetoric blaming Jewish people for various societal issues.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has confirmed they are aware of the flyers and are investigating the incidents as possible hate crimes. Local officials, including Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and City Controller Kenneth Mejia, have condemned the hateful messages, reaffirming their commitment to fighting antisemitism and hate speech.

This incident follows a pattern of similar antisemitic flyer distributions that have occurred across the country in recent months, raising concerns about the rise of antisemitism. In response, community leaders and law enforcement are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities. The flyers are seen as an attempt to spread hateful ideology and intimidate the Jewish community. The investigation is ongoing to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the distribution of the flyers.
