Maher’s Trump Table Turn

Bill Maher, on his HBO show “Real Time,” discussed a viral video showcasing the declining white birth rate in America. The video argued that the shrinking white population is a deliberate effort by Democrats to fundamentally change the country’s demographic makeup to secure political power.

Maher expressed disbelief at the video’s premise, stating that it’s a “mind-blowing” example of right-wing conspiracy theories. He pointed out the absurdity of attributing declining birth rates to a Democratic plot, emphasizing that birth rates are complex and influenced by numerous factors beyond political agendas.

He sarcastically remarked that if Democrats possessed such control over reproductive choices, abortion rates would be zero. Maher argued the video plays on white anxieties and unfounded fears of being replaced, fueling divisive rhetoric. He further suggested that instead of focusing on conspiracy theories, those concerned about birth rates should promote policies that support families and encourage procreation, regardless of race. Maher concluded by dismissing the video’s claims as ridiculous and harmful.
