Police in Japan are investigating a live streamer who allegedly disturbed operations at a bullet train station and harassed women on a train. The streamer, identified only as a man in his 30s, broadcast his activities live on platforms like YouTube and Nico Nico Douga.

The incidents occurred on June 26th at Okayama Station and on board a Sanyo Shinkansen bullet train. The man allegedly lingered near the ticket gates at Okayama Station, filming staff and obstructing passengers. He then boarded the train, where he is accused of harassing female passengers, potentially by filming them without their consent.

JR West, the railway operator, reported the man to the police for obstruction of business, citing his disruptive behavior at the station. Police are also looking into the allegations of harassment on the train.

The streamer’s broadcasts reportedly attracted a large audience, with some viewers encouraging his actions through comments and donations. Authorities are now investigating whether the streamer’s actions constitute a crime and are reviewing footage from the live streams and security cameras to gather evidence. The investigation highlights the growing concerns surrounding online harassment and the responsibility of live streaming platforms to monitor and moderate content.
