Pastor Craig Goodwin of Pisgah Baptist Church in Princeton, Kentucky, was abducted at gunpoint while delivering Bibles on Tuesday, May 7th. Goodwin was reportedly taken from a private driveway in Caldwell County by an armed individual who forced him into his own vehicle. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about the incident and initiated a search.
The suspect, later identified as James Angel, was apprehended after a brief pursuit in Lyon County. The pursuit ended when Angel crashed Goodwin’s vehicle. Goodwin was found safe but was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Angel is currently facing charges including kidnapping, robbery, and wanton endangerment, among other offenses. He is being held in the Crittenden County Jail.
