Pulpit Plunder

Pastor Craig Goodwin of Pisgah Baptist Church in Princeton, Kentucky, was abducted at gunpoint while delivering Bibles on Tuesday, May 7th. Goodwin was reportedly taken from a private driveway in Caldwell County by an armed individual who forced him into his own vehicle. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about the incident and initiated a search.

The suspect, later identified as James Angel, was apprehended after a brief pursuit in Lyon County. The pursuit ended when Angel crashed Goodwin’s vehicle. Goodwin was found safe but was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

Angel is currently facing charges including kidnapping, robbery, and wanton endangerment, among other offenses. He is being held in the Crittenden County Jail. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are still determining Angel’s motive for the abduction. The incident has shocked the local community, and law enforcement is continuing to gather information regarding the circumstances surrounding the crime.
