Retaliation in Waziristan

Pakistani security forces killed 11 militants in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, bordering Afghanistan. In the first incident, seven militants were killed in the Tank district during an intelligence-based operation. These militants were reportedly involved in attacks targeting security forces and civilians. The military recovered weapons and ammunition from them.

In a separate operation in the North Waziristan district, four more militants were killed. This also followed an intelligence-based operation. Similar to the Tank district operation, the militants were said to have been actively involved in terrorist activities in the area. Weapons and ammunition were also seized from them.

The military stated that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism from the region. They reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Pakistani military has conducted numerous operations in these regions, known for harboring militant groups, over the past years. These actions highlight the continued security challenges Pakistan faces along its border with Afghanistan.
