No More Fucking CRs — Pass the Damn Bills

Why the fuck are we still passing Continuing Resolutions? Seriously. This shutdown should be the breaking point. The government needs to buckle the fuck down and actually get these appropriation bills done — now. No more CRs. Fuck that.

Continuing Resolutions are nothing more than political duct tape slapped over a gaping hole that keeps getting bigger every year. They aren’t solutions. They’re excuses. Every time Congress passes one, they’re just delaying the inevitable. They get to pat themselves on the back, say “we avoided a shutdown,” and go on break — but the problems never get fixed.

If they’re just going to keep using CRs as substitutes for doing their actual job — drafting, debating, and passing real appropriation bills — then honestly, don’t even bother reopening the government until they finish the damn work. They should’ve done it long ago. This endless cycle of temporary fixes is embarrassing. It’s lazy governance. It’s cowardice wrapped in procedural bullshit.

Because here’s what happens every single time: they pass a CR, everyone sighs in relief for a few weeks or months, and then — surprise — we’re right back here again. Another looming shutdown. Another round of political theater. Another crisis made entirely by choice.

And if that’s the case, then reopening the government with a CR isn’t a win. It’s a hollow victory. It’s the illusion of progress.
